The musicians are campers between 13 and 18 years old who participated in Girls Rock Philly's Teen Session of 2018 Summer Camp at Hackett Elementary. On Monday of camp, the bands on this album were formed; the songs were written collaboratively in 5 days, performed at World Cafe Live on Saturday and recorded on Sunday.
